Ngorogoro Crater

Ngorogoro Crater

Few places compare to the beauty of Ngorogoro Crater.

Technically the crater is a caldera sinking 2,000 feet deep and home to 25,000 animals including black rhinoceros, wildebeests, zebras, lions and more.

Clouds float off the rim of the crater and into it's depths like an avalanche of snow, accenting the lush grasslands, marsh, forests and lakes that sit below.

The air is fresh and crisp. Despite being home to so many animals and more and more tourists visiting each year, it is quiet, serene and peaceful. You don't know whether to look up, down, left or right. Whether it's a pack of lions as you immediately descent into the crater or the simple, but beautiful lone acacia trees peppered along its plains, Ngorogoro Crater is Mother Nature's work at her best.
